The C500 Mark II is a dream camera. It’s known for its beautiful highlight roll-off, internal RAW recording, and flexibility between handheld and studio builds. Whether you’re shooting a stylized commercial or a vérité-style doc, the C500 delivers with stunning color and a robust codec that holds up in post.
We especially love it for its ability to adapt to any production scale you can shoot handheld with ease or build it up with accessories for a more traditional cinema workflow.
- Canon C70 and C80: Small But Mighty
The C70 (and its newer cousin, the C80) pair perfectly with the C500 Mark II as B-cams. Their compact size makes them ideal for gimbal work, car rigs, and tight interview setups, but they still pack a punch in image quality. Thanks to Canon’s Dual Gain Output (DGO) sensor, these smaller bodies can match the look of their bigger sibling almost seamlessly.
When you need to move fast especially on documentary or run-and-gun commercial shoots— he C70 and C80 are your best friends.
